Jack — a long-time Super-Folder — has decided to go big in 2011. He’s making a resolution to fold 1,000 Origami Yodas! Here is the pledge he’s using:
1,000 ORIGAMI YODAS
IF JACK WOULD LIKE TO MAKE 1,000 YODAS, HE MUST FALLOW THE RULES
HE MAY ONLY START ON JANUARY 1ST 2011
HE MAY ONLY END ON DECEMBER 31ST 2011
IF HE DOSE NOT HAVE EDZACTLY 1,000 YODAS ON DECEMBER 31ST 11:59 PM, ALL OF THE YODAS THAT HE HAS MADE IN 2011 MUST BE THROWN AWAY.
ALL THE YODAS MUST BE SIMPLE YODAS, IF THEY ARE NOT, THEY DO NOT COUNT.
ALL THE YODAS HE MAKES MUST BE LABELED WITH A NUMBER TO COUNT.

As far as I know I’m the only person who has ever folded 1,000 Origami Yodas. I folded them before the book came out as a publicity stunt. (It seemed to work!)
Of course, this is a variation on the tradition of folding 1,000 origami cranes for luck or the fulfillment of a wish.
Folding 1,00o of anything is a real test of patience. And you will feel a real accomplishment when you are done.
Also, if Jack — or anyone else — manages to do it I will give them a significant prize! How significant? How about getting your name in the credits of an Origami Yoda book?*
Maybe some of you other Super Folders would like to give it a try??
If you’d like to print your own version of Jack’s pledge, I’m sure he wouldn’t mind.
Good Luck, Jack! And any other Super-Folders who decide to give it a try!
*Adult permission/verification plus photo may be required as proof of completion. Prize subject to change… but will still be awesome!

I can’t wait to start, but only on January 1st !
