Question: Are ads a problem on this site?

Hey SFs,

Thinking about upgrading Tom’s site by removing all ads. This will cost a bit though, so I thought I’d check and see if they are actually bothering anyone…

Do you see the ads?
If so are they annoying?
Do they ever feature inappropriate content? (This Website is supposed to be PG-rated!)

I Don’t see the ads, plus, don’t you get money for having their ads on your site? (Don’t ask me how I know this)

I mean, yeah they’re annoying that they’re there, but not to the extent where you need to pay for wordpress to remove them. Sounds like the popcorn tin thing, a rip off for something stupid. I think we can just deal with them.

on my old computer, ads for dating websites showed inapropriate content so i dont want that for other dating sites, i upgraded since then but other people have probaby had to deal with it

The ads don’t bug me at all. I’ve never seen one with any such content, and the ads aren’t actually bothering anyone as far as I can tell. It’s all fine, situation normal, in Han’s words. There’s no need.

I don’t see any adds, unless the books that are linked here are for books you can buy at Amazon or something. In that case, I think the ads are perfect. Tom should recommend what books he likes.

Are you talking about the books on the far right? If you are then no they don’t bother me. Otherwise I don’t see any ads

I really think ads are a problem. Some of them are pretty innapropreate and gross. PLEASE REMOVE THEM!!!!!!

Also, they can be dangerous in terms of viruses that you could potentially get from clicking on them.

WebMaster Sam works very hard to run this Website. You can make things a lot easier for him by doing these things….

1) Get the best photo you can. Take it outside in good light if possible. Make sure it is rotated properly.

2) FOLLOW THE RULES for submitting pictures! People who do not follow the rules will begin getting a CANNED REPONSE sending them back to this page!

—->All photos must be Jpegs.

——>All photos should be sent as attachments if possible. (it IS possible to do this on an iPhone/Ipad/iPod! Click here for instructions.)

———>You MUST include your SuperFolder name! (Especially if you are using your parents account. Otherwise it gets confused and Webmaster Sam has to go back and change it.)
