It’s Origami Admiral Ackbar instructions!

Here they are! Dwight’s instructions — as drawn by Kellen — for folding an Admiral Ackbar finger puppet.

If you have trouble, just drop by and see me at Star Wars Celebration V, where I’ll be teaching folks to fold Ackbar, Yoda and another top secret Star Wars character…

It works best with paper that’s orange on one side and white on the other. Or you can just color it with a crayon or magic marker when you’re done.

Tom, about Admiral Ackbar. When it looked like a Yoda, I just drew the face on and stuck a lightsaber in the “pocket”where Admiral Ackbar’s uniform symbol is on. I sent in pics and instructions, but I forgot to make them attachments. Should I send them in again?

TOM!!!! Where do you get origame paper? I cant seem to find it and folding with construction paper is tough.

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

Try a craft store like Michaels or AC Moore, unless you have an independent craft store in your hometown. I have one called Mish Mish which has some awesome paper!

  SF cau2134 wrote @

You can also fold with stickynotes, notebook paper, and copy paper

You have to be a bit artistic with this…. You are definitely not doing “normal” origami moves. More like smooshing the paper into place…
