Instead of working on the stuff I really should be getting done, I’ve been trying to fold Origami Stormtroopers yet again.

This time, the results are semi-satisfactory. Here are some of the preliminary folds:

And here is the finished piece:

Note: This is a sheet of paper that is black on one side, white on the other. The eyes are the black side of the paper. The mouth and the black spots on the sides are merely added decorations. (On some of the preliminary models, the black spots are actually created by origami, but it takes a lot of fussing and fiddling to get them in the correct spot and then they still look all lumpy.)

Sorry, guys! No instructions for this one. Like with C3P0, it would be easier for you to make your own than to try to follow the crazy way I made this….

I think I can handle it. I’ve folded the crane and the complex design for a rocket ship.

Oh and by the way, this is extremely funny; I was making a van jahnke during science, and my teachers like “Is that a note i see? well let me read it” then i said it was just a piece of paper because i crumpled it before she grabbed it and she said next time i get caught with a note to make at a bit more juicy! Everyone was laughing! I think my teacher was a bit disappointed!

Tom, i just realized something, your making kids go frantic everywhere bacause you think we’ll say the c3p0 instrictions are cheap? JUST GIVE US THE INSTRUCTIONS your being like spin master and leonidas(a bakugan that never came out)!

Ok Tom I will explain Leonidas to you. There is a video game called Bakugan Battle Brawlers. In the beginning, you get a Leonidas. Spin Master (Bakugan’s inventor) never came out with a Leonidas toy. I know cause I beat the Bakugan game.

Don’t be mean. Give him a break. He’s working on books and it might be hard for him to figure out how he made these complex designs.

Yea I agree with Chad Y. He can’t make instructions because 1. There are a lot of ” ugly folds” and 2. He is working on other books. So don’t pester poor Tom for instructions. My Yoda is saying that….. Hate and revenge to the Dark Side only lead. Make your own instructions for Yoda’s sake. Ay Ay Ay.

thats right we can make our own. it may take ALOT of time, i mean, it took me about amonth to come up with my own yoda design,but it will be worth it. toms a very busy man working on a book we all want to read. give the man some slack guys. all in favor of leaving tom alone about it and coming up with our own and let him finish darth paper say I

I think it was a triangle. And I think it started in a similar way to the R2-D2 … i.e. a big pleat in the middle.
I wish I had written down instructions, because I’ve been wanting to fold a lifesize Stormtrooper helmet….
