Got a Wampa? + some news

Hey, Super-Folders!

First of all, I need to tell you guys that I am on a super tight deadline trying to get the doodles done for Darth Paper*… So I might not be able to answer all your emails/comments, etc… for a while. Please forgive the delay!

While I’m busy, why don’t you guys get busy and fold an Origami Wampa?
I made one recently myself and then Super-Folder DT just sent me a real scary one.
So I thought we’d see what the rest of you could come up with BEFORE I posted mine or DT’s….

Are you game?

You know where to send them…. tom (at)

* I was giggling a bit while working on the Soapy the Monkey drawings today. He’s just a funny dude!

LISTEN to The Strange Case of Origami Yoda

You can now download the fantastic Recorded Books version of “The Strange Case of Origami Yoda” for about $10!

Voice Dude Mark Turetsky did a great job as the voice of Tommy. He and the rest of the cast really add something to the story, I think. In their hands, it’s quite a drama!

My awesome publisher, Amulet, is going to come out with three more of my books! This is great news, because Amulet did such an amazing job with Origami Yoda and Horton Halfpott! I just can’t wait until these books are done so I can see what they look like and share them with all of you!

First of all, it’s time to end a secret … which some people have already figured out anyway.

Librarian makes fantastic Origami Leia … with lightsaber! #starwars #librariansrock

A Washington DC librarian named Jessica made this amazing Origami Leia by changing the  Bird Base. (The bird base is a standard way of starting many origami models, including the crane. Click here if you want instructions for the crane/bird base. Super-folder Jessica has not sent me instructions for Origami Leia, by the way.)
