Tom, how do pieces do fold on average when you a not going to a convention or something?

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

How many?
Probably only a few things per week unless I am working on a new design in which case it can be a lot!

Mr. Tom, when are you coming to the Raleigh/Durham area? I’m at camp next week, so I would like to know if I’ll miss the shows or not. Thanks!

-Hewhowalks…

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

Looks like it’s July 20 or so! Quail Ridge and then Fly Leaf books! Contact either store for details!

Thanks! I’ll be there!

  SuperFolder Dark Knight wrote @

What about the Princeton/WW-P area in NJ?

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

Sorry… We launched Fortune Wookiee there, so we will probably be going somewhere new to launch Jabba,

  SuperFolder Dark Knight wrote @

You did? I never knew…

  DJ Fett wrote @

Dear Tom,

I’ve been working on my WordPress Site, Nahdarigami Network (http://www.nahdarigaminetwork.wordpress.com) and it’s looking pretty good! But how did you get your site to approve every comment?

-DJ Fett (Once SF D.J., then SF DJ/Daniel, now DJ Fett)

Under settings, choose discussion, then there’s a setting for the moderation.

  SuperFolder CJ wrote @

– CJ

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

I hope so!

  Super noahv wrote @

Two questions one are you doing another series besides origami yoda and are you coming Texas and when. And does anybody hold salicaus

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

It could be a while until I get back to Texas. (I was just there this spring, you know…)

No one will have Salacious in the next book, but I do have a some instructions for him that I’ll be putting up!

  Kaden McMahan wrote @

Tom were do you get your COOL origami paper at?

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

Most of my paper is just scrap. But sometimes I buy real origami paper and sometimes I look in the scrapboook aisle at Michaels and AC Moore.

  SF AustinM wrote @

THANK YOU!!!! There is a Michael’s about 45 mins. away from my house!

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

Be sure to look at their origami paper selection AND their scrapbooking paper.

SF Zach and origami Plo-Koon wrote @

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

  Purse Girll wrote @

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

That would be awesome!!! But like I’ve said before… I’ve had to cut back on travel to work on the OY series.

  The Evil Jawa wrote @

Can you Skype with the EU Council one day?

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

Yes… I’d like to try a Google Hangout with you guys in fact…

  The Evil Jawa wrote @

Cool!

  SF AustinM wrote @

Will there be more books after Jabba? How many books will there be?

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

That is somewhere between TOP SECRET and I HAVE NO IDEA…

  SF AustinM wrote @

OK, it’s NO TOP SECRET IDEA.

  SuperFolder Isaac wrote @

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

Happy Birthday!

There is no such thing as a Kawahata Club page… but you are definitely a member of the club!

  Sf Robby wrote @

Tom, can you ask yoda why in rev. W Awdry’s books, Thomas the tank engine was manufactured in 1915 and will be 100 in 2 yrs, and in the show, he act le he’s 5.

  Sf Robby wrote @

The books were good, but the show got bad after they couldn’t make the show based off the books, it went downhill.

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

Also acted 5 when 100 I was…

  Fantastic Torch wrote @

Mr Tom.
You should go to Oregon preferably the willamette valley

Sincerely fantastic torch. Yeesssssss.

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

Wish I could, dude! I’ve got to sit down here at the house for awhile and write books, though. Sorry!

  SF Raven wrote @

Dear Tom,
I’m not writing a letter, so ignore that part. Can you make another origami series but not about Star Wars Origami?
Sincerely, SF Raven
(Once Superfolder Austin and Dwight, then Superfolder Austin/Dwight, then SF Raven, then TT Raven, now back to SF Raven.)

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

I have thought about this. It IS possible. But… once you’ve written about Star Wars everything else pales in comparison!

True…

  SF Nimbus wrote @

So… soo… true…

Except for Star Trek. ;-)

SF Zach and origami Plo-Koon wrote @

Definitely not! Not ninjago and pokemon!

  Sam wrote @

Dear Tom,
Could you give us instructions for an origami Darth Maul? Thank you!

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

Not right this minute… try searching Maul Instrux with the search box for some SFs instrux…

  The Evil Jawa wrote @

Can you Google Hangout with the EU Council this Summer, or are you busy?

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

Yes, I’d like to do it this summer. Maybe before the Jabba launch..

  The Evil Jawa wrote @

Um, Hi!
What was the best thing before sliced bread?

  Fantastic Torch wrote @

i believe it was unsliced bread

  wbfirk wrote @

No man it was the dough that made the unsliced bread. It was really hot in the ten hundreds.

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

the flying shuttle — used in automated looms.

  Um Hi Guy wrote @

I’ve never heard that one before.

  wbfirk wrote @

Hey tom, do you play video games.

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

Yes, though I try not to because it takes up time I could be writing.
My friend H and I have been playing James Bond Quantum of Silence for YEARS now. The technology is getting old, but the 2-player game is so deep we still love playing it!

  SF AustinM wrote @

I like Minecraft and Pokémon and Smash Bros. and Mario.

  Trevor Mcbride wrote @

Hey Tom do you think I could send you my salacious instrux to put on the site?

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

Yes… once the new system is in place.

  wbfirk wrote @

Does d make the Dua sound?

  SuperFolder Megan/Phred wrote @

Thanks for everything Tom and Sam thank you!

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

Thank YOU, M/PH!

  Angel wrote @

hey Tom can you make instrux for the Cover Jabba?

  darthshreder wrote @

when will you come to Philadelphia PA ?

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

Hopefully soon! Maybe on the Jabba tour!

  10cocoa wrote @

Tom,
I hope you have an amazing 4th of July filled with…ORIGAMI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

Thanks, dude!
Hopefully it will also be filled with shooting water bottle rockets into the air!

  Sf Robby wrote @

Tom,
Is Ash Ketchum in a coma?

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

Ash is currently very busy on another plane of existence…. When he’s done there he will “wake up” with new powers.

  wbfirk wrote @

Hehehehe, creepy pastas…

  wbfirk wrote @

I’m not sure if that suggest that ash woke up in world that was like the video games…

  SF AustinM wrote @

I read that story. Not scary. Read Pokémon Ruby or Pokémon Nightmare if you want scary!

  Yodamaster wrote @

DO NOT read Jeff the Killer. There is a creepy pic on the side of him. It’s MESSED UP. I hate that site. I couldn’t sleep for 3 days after ready lavender town! Please don’t read them. Tom, I don’t even advise you to. It’s hard core messed up.

  Yodamaster wrote @

and jeff the killer is on that creepypasta site.

  wbfirk wrote @

jeff the killer is only scary because of the pic.

  SF Raven wrote @

Powers? Like magic?

  SF Raven wrote @

What? A coma???
They’re still making PKMN Episodes, so…

  Sf Robby wrote @

It’s a theory of why ash is still 10 yrs old.

  kadenv wrote @

pft… that is not scary at all…

  SF AustinM wrote @

Yeah, PKMN has been on for 15 seasons so we should see some growth at least. Ash should be 24 because Pokémon has been around ’99.

  SF Raven wrote @

Yodamaster, WHAT ABOUT LAVENDER TOWN??!!

  Yodamaster wrote @

They’ve confirmed the new series for October after the release of the games. They want the public to get familiar with the new pokemon before they introduce them on the show. It’s a good strategy actually.

  Yodamaster wrote @

So Tom, will there be any events with you in RI again?

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

Probably not…. Sorry!

  Yodamaster wrote @

I just realized something. BIG mistake on their part. They came out with the Pikachu 3DS when gates to infinity came out. Why didn’t they bundle it with X or Y? They could’ve made a killing! I did end up getting the Pikachu 3DS, but it would’ve been smarter on their part to make it like that.

  Super Folder Rusty wrote @

Hey Tom, sorry i havent been to the site in a long time, i’ve started to come back though.

Do you fold other gorigami star wars, like Boba Fett, Luke, Count Dokue, etc.?

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

I’ve folded lots of characters in my time. My best new one is a Foldy Wan Kenobi.

  Jason wrote @

How do u make him?

  Super Folder Rusty wrote @

OH and Happy 4th of July!

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

Same to you, Rusty!

  sf noahv wrote @

are you making another series

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

You mean a different series from OY?
Hopefully, Qwikpick will be a series. Qwikpick1 will be reprinted next year and hopefully QP2 (which is already written) will come the next year. And then I want to write QP3.

Also, I’m definitely writing a series of short and silly mystery books.

  Super noahv wrote @

Are you making another origami series

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

That is a good question.
The only answer I can give you is … maybe.

By the way, Qwikpick (which gets released next spring) has a chapter about origami called The Great Origami Pegasus Disaster. It’s one of my favorite things I’ve ever written.

nick and his foldy wan kenobi wrote @

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

Maybe you need to give them more chances to talk…

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

At least…. that’s why people have ti interrupt me. Otherwise, I’d just talk 24 hours a day…

  Gandalf wrote @

So would I!

Alright then, how about north attleborough MA at the emerald square mall. Now THAT would be the best day of my life. Favorite author at favorite mall with favorite store (toy vault).

  Sf Robby wrote @

Tom, if you died (which I hope doesn’t happen.) would you let JC take over writing the books?

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

I’m glad you hope it doesn’t happen!

  SF Raven wrote @

That’s an interesting topic….. although I don’t want battles in the main story of OY… I like the plain, old case files of Harvey, Dwight, DP, OY, FW, R2, and soon JP.

  SF Raven wrote @

Tom, will you be at the Decatur Book Festival this year? I’ll be there, and I want you to sign my Art2- D2 book and my soon to be Jabba the Puppett book.

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

Yes! I will be!
And I’ll be leading the parade too, so if you can come to that it would be really cool!

  Jarrett Tyree wrote @

Hey Tom, will you put the cover Jabba instructions into the new book, or will you make different instructions like you did for OY, DP, and R-2?

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

I think the book’s instructions skip the double pleat for making the eyes. But a lot of SuperFolders have that technique figured out now, so it shouldn’t be too hard…

  R2d2 wrote @

Tom, am I a superfolder, and how do I become one?

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

  superfolderethanmon wrote @

Didn’t they say that it was Quavondo?

  superfolderethanmon wrote @

Also if you did die (which I hope dosent happen) would you have a death wish saying that you would give away the cover stars for the OY series?

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

I’m sure you will be an SF!

However, Sam’s new system will have a new log-in system. Not sure how it will work yet, but the wordpress account may or may not work…
