He does. Right after You Bet Your Duck. (See the book, Lizard Music for more details)

  Mystery wrote @

How do you become a super folder?

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

New SuperFolders will not be official until Sam unveils up the new system in a couple of weeks. Then you’ll ne able to submit a picture anb become a SuperFolder!

  Trevor Mcbride wrote @

Ok another origami mandalorian question how do you make the angle folds for the body and the neck?

  The Evil Jawa wrote @

When you have a signing, I’m going to come up to you and say in my cool guy voice, “Make it for, The Evil Jawa.” And see what you do. :P

When Tom came to Vancouver/BC and i told him I was a super-folder he was VERY surprised!

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

What do you think about Episode 7 coming out? Do you think Disney will ruin the series or will they make it better? I’ve heard people who think 1-3 should have never been made and only 4-6 should be called Star Wars canon. What’s your opinion?

  han solo wrote @

hi weaver epidode 7 will be out march 2015 and it will be written by the guy who wrote toy story 3 people think yhis will ruin it , but i wait and see anyome want tovadd something?

  Trevor Mcbride wrote @

It’s JJ Abrams that directs Star Wars 7,
But I hope Disney does a good job at making a Star Wars movie and if they don’t……

C3P0: we’re doomed!

  Weaver wrote @

I mean, I’m still gonna be at the midnight premiere, but I’ll probably dislike it…

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

I am VERY VERY excited about the new movies!

I’m almost as excited for the standalone titles as the sequels. A whole Boba Fett movie? Heck, yes!

  SF AustinM wrote @

WHAT!!!!????

  mattweb2000 wrote @

Always in motion the future is…

  SF TylerM wrote @

Don’t listen to those people who say 1-3 should have never been made. They are all adults who don’t like 1-3 because they are movies for kids but want to like it because they were kids when they saw 4-6. As for my opinion I think 7-9 will be awesome!

  SF Austin wrote @

Tom, can you make instructions for that amazing Kit Fisto that you drew?

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

Haven’t actually made one…

  SF Robby wrote @

Sf firk made one on his new site. Just click his name.

  invisibleninja69 wrote @

  SF Robby wrote @

We don’t.

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

That’s because you CAN’T right now. Just hold on, it’s going to be so much better when Sam gets the new system running…

  Super Folder Mike wrote @

Is jabba an antagonist or a protagonist

  Noah wrote @

Which is your favorite Star Wars movie?

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

Empire!

  SuperFolder Megan/Phred wrote @

how did you know you wanted to be a writer?

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

Truthfully, I really have little choice! My particular flavor of Aspergers has the Verbal Valve open ALL the time. I am writing in my head ALL the time. That was why I was a pretty good reporter… but in that case I think the Aspergers prevented me from being as aggresive as I needed to be to get at certain facts.

So writing fiction is a pretty good place for me!

  Trevor Mcbride wrote @

I got aspergers too!

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

Not always easy to deal with, but I wouldn’t take a cure if they offered it.

  Trevor Mcbride wrote @

Me either its nice to be different from everybody else. :D

  wbfirk wrote @

I don’t know if you ansered this qestion or not-you said you would like to see more rancor designs. Do you need a origami rancor for some thing?

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

I did answer. The answer was no… I just like the RancoR!

  SF TylerM wrote @

You’re in luck my window submission is the rancor!

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

Sweet! Can’t wait until they get put up in the window! And then I can’t wait until they all get sent to me!

  mattweb2000 wrote @

which do you prefer, clone wars or the original movie series?

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

Well, I love the movies of course. But the show had some amazing amazing story arcs!

  SF Austin wrote @

Tom, go to nahdarigami.wordpress.com. and comment somewhere on it. It’s DJ’s website and it would make his day if you would. Thanks!

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

Ok…

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

ERROR…. it says the website does not exist.

  graphicfold wrote @

How do we send you (Tom) our origami?

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

Just need to wait a few more weeks until the new Uploading system is functioning. Right now there is no way to send in new stuff. Everything that is going up is stuff I already have.

  aaron wrote @

Sorry about the other comment.(I didn’t get to finish it) These are questions that I always wanted to ask you.I hope you answer back! 1. When I watched the video where the cover Yoda and cover Darth paper fought I think I noticed that you glued a strip of paper on the back of Darth paper.Am I right? 2. how come the end of the cover Jabba’s tail is white? There are also white spots on his head. 3. At the beginning of The Strange Case of Origami Yoda you could see that Tommy has fairly long hair.Later on in the book you could see that tommy has short hair. Then,at the end of art2-d2’s guide to folding and doodling origami Yoda said to cut off your padawan braid, but Tommy said that Yoda made him shave his head.Is this why Tommy has short hair?ps. Tom, can you delete the comment I didn’t finish?

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

1. yes

2.Huh? Let me check… Oh that’s just light reflecting on it.

3. Tommy had had unruly hair of varying lengths for years. When he took Yodas advice he buzz cut it all off, leaving just some fuzz.

Tom, I’ve tried to make your Darth Maul and Mandalorian from art-2. However, all I did was create a pile of crumpled paper. Can u please give me some tips? Please?!

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

Darth Maul is all about getting as much paper as possible in the back and then fidgeting little bits of it into horns.

Mandalorian… still puzzled about this. didn’t think it was tricky. Most of it is in the decorations.
Are you folding down the sides of the top edge befre starting?

  Trevor Mcbride wrote @

Tom, I wanted to know if I can ask you a few questions please reply….

5. Favorite max rebo band member (mines sy snootles)

6. I noticed that the origami yoda books go in order good, bad, good, bad. Does that mean since jabbas bad the next book will be a good guy?

With this new system, is it just going to give us the ability to post something on our own? Does this mean the site’s gone THAT big?

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

Yes, you should be able to post things on your own, subject to Webmaster Sam or someone checking to make sure it’s not inappropriate. So things should go up within 24 hours…. sometimes within an hour or two if your timing is right!

What’s cool, is that the site is going to different… but the same. I think you’ll like it.

  Yodamaster wrote @

So it’s not going to be so big no one will even know anyone?

Tom, i’m wondering about the art2 book. People say there is a Darth Maul, a Salacious, and a mandalorian. I haven’t seen ANY of these guys instructions before. I heard about a salacious clay mold, and I saw PICTURES of Darth Maul and a mandalorian. I haven’t seen instructions ANYWHERE!! Tell me what page their on, please.

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

Darth and Mandalorian are both in there in color section.

The Salacious clay thing didn’t work, so if it is in there — I can’t recall — think it’s an example of something that didn’t work.

  Jarrett Tyree wrote @

But where are they’re instructions?

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

Wait… whose whats?

Jedi Master Morning (SF AustinM wrote @

OK Tom, I made your Snorlax. I just need to make the Poké Ball. If you come to the Middle Tennessee area, I’ll give him to you. What do you want next? PS I got real Japanesse origami paper today at Hobby Lobby!

Tom said and I quote:

“Some sort of weird bubbly paper that I got at AC Moore. Haven’t been able to get more.
Found something similar at Michaels but not the same.”

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

Yep, that’s right!

  Keenan Edwards wrote @

Respond back… The only paper here in Lake Havasu, AZ is from Hobby Lobby. Anyway love all of your How To Fold videos and I was wondering when you’re going to release the Jabba video

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

I’ve never looked at the paper in a Hobby Lobby.
The scrabook aisle is a great place to find weird paper in Michaels and AC Moore.

  Keenan Edwards wrote @

The only paper they have there is double sided so it’s like Green – White Brown – White so you have to glue together to make a yoda

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

Jabba video should be really soon!

  Keenan Edwards wrote @

Oh and also, I made an awesome deluxe Yoda that I can’t wait for you to see

Is Sam Riddleburger actually Webmaster Sam?

Try asking ar your local bookstore if you have an independent store. They might have an idea…

Tom this is kind of a silly question but do ads count as folder-younglings
Padawan-folders or Jedi-folders?
I know it’s kind of silly but I wanted to know please respond.

  Trevor Mcbride wrote @

I’m sorry I didn’t mean to type “do ads” I meant to type “do sf’s”

  Tom Angleberger wrote @

I think there’s a wide variety of SFs… some are indeed Padawans others are full Jedi Folders and many are in between.

Of course, to become a true Jedi Master SuperFolder you have to fold great, decorate great and photograph great. Plus be kind to the other SuperFolders.

I made a puppet show based of my book using you’re designs. My book is like a little spoof of Star Wars that asks the questions. What if Yoda was an annoying little kid instead of an 900 year old wise man? What if Darth Vader was an overprotective father? What if the empire had hair? What if Obi-Wan was a knock-off of Mermaid Man? What if Leia was a teenage brat? What if Han Solo was a regular day man? What if Luke was a daddy’s boy. And most importantly……… What if Chewbacca was a gangster? All of these questions are answered in my book Twisted.
