Made a new Jabba!

The actual cover Jabba is still at my publisher’s office in New York City. But I want one to take with me on road trips.

I got some bumpy brown paper at Michael’s craft store.
Used a crayon to green it up…

Then wrestled it into Jabba-shape. It did not crease well and I had to use a lot of glue. But here he is ready to meet folks in Chicago… And beyond.

Actually, that’s not where Tom got the paper from. He gets it from A.C. Moore.

I may do something like this as a little project. I want to replicate all of the cover stars someday. I’ve got Yoda, DP, and the FW so far. Oh, and that Han Foldo. Almost forgot about him. Speaking of him, I have a new [pic from YM studios.

Did you know that five different people had to operate the Jabba puppet in Return of the Jedi? There was a guy for the tail, a guy with a remote control for the eyes, two guys for the arms, and a guy for the head? Pretty stooky!
